SSC CHSL Notification 2023: Exam Pattern

| Tier 1 | Candidates need to qualify for this tier to appear in Tier 2. It consists of a computer-based exam with multiple-choice questions on English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. |
| Tier 2 | Candidates who qualify for Tier 1 are eligible to appear in Tier 2. It is a descriptive paper that assesses the writing skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. |
| Tier 3 | Candidates who qualify for Tiers 1 and 2 are called for Tier 3, which is a skill/typing test. The test is conducted for the posts of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, and Lower Divisional Clerk. |
| Document Verification | After qualifying all three tiers, candidates are called for Document Verification. |
| Post Allotment | The final allotment of candidates to various departments for the posts of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks, and Court Clerks is done based on their merit and preference of post. |
